DIRECT IMPACT CALL FOR CREATE-A-THON APPLICATIONS

ST. LOUIS, MO – Direct Impact, Inc., a direct marketing and communications agency in St. Louis, invites non-profit organizations to submit applications for its second annual Create-A-Thon, scheduled for September 11, 2003. Create-A-Thon is a 24-hour blitz during which Direct Impact will provide marketing and creative services to local non-profit organizations on a pro-bono basis. Services will include conceptual development, copywriting and design on projects such as brochures, direct mail, advertising and others. Direct Impact joins 30 other agencies across the country that will also be donating time and services for the nationwide Create-A-Thon.

" Our goal again this year will be to give St. Louis-area non-profit organizations the marketing materials they need to support their missions – materials that they otherwise could not afford," said Jan Devine, Partner and Vice President of Direct Impact. "We were able to help ten non-profit agencies during last year's Create-A-Thon and look forward to helping this same number or more during this year's event."

Here's how the Create-A-Thon works:

*    From the pool of applicants, Direct Impact will choose organizations to receive free creative services during Create-A-Thon. Planning meetings will be held with each organization prior to the event, which will kick off at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 11.
*    Direct Impact will work on these projects for the next 24 hours, around the clock.
*    At 8:30 a.m. on Friday, September 12, Direct Impact's staff will present mock-ups of the marketing materials produced during the day and night to representatives from each of the non-profit organizations.
*    By 2:00 p.m. that same day, representatives from the non-profits will return the mock-ups to Direct Impact with any final revisions and approval.



The deadline for Direct Impact's Create-A-Thon 2003 applications is August 8th. Organizations selected by Direct Impact to receive the services of Create-A-Thon 2003 will be announced by August 18th. Please call 314-567-0024 for an application or with any questions.
