Harper Design reports Denver direct mail success
"A 7% response rate in a direct mail campaign is a great return, and we still aren't finished. I expect the rates to be above 10% when everything is finished" reports Ryan Dickinson, partner with Harper Design.
Harper Design, a full-service marketing solutions firm in metro Denver, recently undertook the direct marketing campaign on behalf of a new client, SpeedTrail High Speed Internet.
"As an acquisition strategy, targeted, well-executed direct mail can produce an excellent return. We are pleased that our acquisition strategy is off to a good start" says Dickinson.
SpeedTrail was recently launched to a targeted customer base in the Denver metro-area. The first step in the acquisition strategy developed by Harper Design was a creative, oversized direct mail piece that spoke to specific buying frustrations the prospect had experienced in the past.
"We can attribute such results to creative thinking and doing our homework. Without a thorough knowledge of what the prospect is thinking, feelling, dealing with....we would have no real creative foundation" explains Dickinson.
Before launching the acquisition strategy, Harper Design helped develop the SpeedTrail brand and messaging with prospective market research.
"It's important to go through that process to learn what your customer is looking for and expects from you. When you don't do this step, your entire strategy is built on guesswork. Unfortunately, most of us don't always hit the mark when we do that."
